The Facility Use Fee Schedule for public, non-borough training room use was implemented July 1, 2008.
Fee schedule charges do not apply to inter-MSB department use.
Non-emergency service use shall be approved as space is available and on a first come, first serve basis by the Facility Coordinator.
Facility Use Requests are approved no more than three months in advance (certain exceptions may apply) and must be submitted to the Facility Coordinator at least two weeks (14 days) prior to requested facility use. Requests may be denied if they are not received within the two week (14 day) requirement.
There are three (3) Central Mat-Su Fire Stations with public training rooms: Station 61, 62, & 65.
Station 61 - Central Mat-Su Public Safety Building
Station 62 - Knik Public Safety Building
Station 65 - Cottonwood Public Safety Building
- Located near Palmer-Wasilla Highway, 680 N. Seward-Meridian Parkway
- Two (2) training rooms, capacity 25-30 people per room
- Training Room 1 is closest to the offices.
- Training Room 2 is closest to the parking lot.
Emergency Services shall have priority use of all facilities. In the event of an emergency, the Facility Coordinator has the authority to adjust, modify or cancel the scheduled facility use. The Department of Emergency Services also retains the right to alter, cancel, or reschedule any facility use request when, after careful consideration, such action is deemed to be in the best interest of the Borough.
