Hydrant Data Request

This is the information you will need to provide when requesting information on fire hydrant flow testing data performed annually by the Central Mat-Su Fire Department (CMSFD). Central Mat-Su Fire Department is currently on a three year rotation for the flow testing hydrants, the hydrants you are requesting information for may not be from this year. Every hydrant is inspected twice a year.

**This data was collected for fire department flow testing and inspections only, it is not recommended that it be used for calculating fire suppression system design calculations. Use this data at your own risk.**

All requests for records will be responded to within a reasonable time period and no later than seven (7) business days. If the records and information cannot be located in time to make a response within seven (7) business days of this request, the requested party shall be promptly advised. Wasilla-Lakes FSA Hydrant Specifications


All hydrants shall open in a counter-clockwise direction.

All pumper outlets shall be a 5-inch Storz connections.

Fire hydrants connected to a 8-inch or smaller water main shall be configured with one pumper outlet and two 2 ½” outlets.

Fire hydrants connected to a 10-inch or larger water main shall be configured with two pumper outlets and one 2 ½” outlet.

A fire hydrant, when available, shall be within 200 feet of a fire department connection.

The fire chief shall approve the number and location of fire hydrants for any new fire hydrant installations.
